When this hueso handcarved bone cabochon arrived at our house, I nearly kept it for myself, but my son instantly said how cool it was, and asked if he could get me to custom make a pendant for his friend, Charlotte.
The moon face is so serene!
I learned a little bit about bone and bone carving while I made it. I am always so pleased to know there are such talented people in our world!
When your brother-in-law’s birthday comes around, what else do you give him but a custom made ring?
This ring is sterling silver, and I oxidised it with liver of sulphur to give it a fabulous matte black finish.

Judy loves drusy, just like me, and she asked me if I could source a black drusy stone for her and create a ring.
Of course, I was happy to!

This matching mauve bluebell drusy agate and sterling silver ring and cuff are a 21st birthday gift from my lovely customer to her niece.
Meg chose these drusy cabochons after some deliberation.. she has quite an eye for fabulous combinations!

My lovely friend and supportive customer Elizabeth had a surprise recently, when she received this ring as an anniversary present!
Her husband, knowing Elizabeth likes my work, secretly commissioned me to make it for her.

On the first Sunday of each month, the Young Designers Market is held in Little Stanley Street, at South Bank, Brisbane, between 10am and 4pm. The Silver Forge was fortunate enough to be selected to have a stall there, so on 2nd November, I set up in a marquee under a shady tree. It really is a lovely market, and I had such a great time and met lots of lovely people!

We worked together on the design of the ring, emailing ideas back and forth until we were both happy!

While age and disability may reduce some people’s capacity to get out and about, Meals on Wheels helps make it possible for them to stay in their homes (where most people are happiest), and maintain some independence.
Delivery of nutritious meals, social interaction and regular visits ensure a clients’ wellbeing and can help people live the lives they choose.
Each year, over 14.8 million meals are delivered by more than 78,700 ‘Meals on Wheels’ volunteers to about 53,000 recipients Australia wide in cities, regional and rural areas.

My beautiful Granny turned ninety-eight recently, and I created this sterling silver twisted chain necklace for her, to match the bracelet I made for her a while ago.
With around two hundred and eighty links to be made, joined and soldered individually, it took a while to complete. I love the simplicity and the gorgeous way it rolls.
