Unakite, also known as epidote, is a combination of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and (generally) colorless quartz. Unakite gets it’s name from the Unakas mountains of North Carolina where it was first discovered. It is believed to lift your spirits if you are feeling low.

Agate is traditionally believed to help you to discern truth, improve memory and concentration, increase stamina,  prevent insomnia and ensure pleasant dreams, enhance personal courage, protect you against danger, and provide a calming influence.

This drusy cabochon has possibly been dyed. You can read more about gemstone treatments here. In order to keep your drusy looking good, it is recommended that you do not get it wet or expose it to sunlight for prolonged periods. Your piece can be cleaned using a soft silver polishing cloth.

Black onyx is a type of quartz. In Greek mythology, Eros clipped Aphrodite’s fingernails while she slept, littering them across a beach; forcing The Fates to turn them to stone which produced onyx.

The amazing agatized fossil coral cabochon shown here is 52mm long, and is available to be handcrafted into a custom made ring or pendant for you.

Fossilised coral is a natural stone that is formed when ancient coral is gradually replaced with agate. The fossilized coral typically appears as small flower-like patterns in the stone.

Agatized fossil coral can exhibit a wide range of natural colors, ranging from white and pink to brown, gray, black, yellow and red. Corals may vary widely within a single stone, depending on weathering and oxidation and the original mineral content.
