Sterling Silver Lotus Flower Pendant

silver lotus flower pendant ~ handmade with love

Robert saw the silver lotus flower pendant I created for my bestie’s yoga teacher, and asked if I could make him one for his girl.

He chose a black leather choker for the piece, which nicely changes the feel. It looks just as amazing as the brown I used on the previous one I made.

The lotus flower is also known as a water lily. As well as the gorgeous flower, it has the most amazing seed pod!

a pendant I created for a dear friend of mine, at the (secret) request of her husband. This was a cheap 'n' cheerful piece that was crying out to be recreated in 'proper' sterling silver.* Love you guys! xx

Circular Silver Pendant

From the vault, here’s a pendant I created for a dear friend of mine, at the (secret) request of her husband.

*Just a note that I am no longer doing replica pieces, sorry to tantalise! (I did say from the vault… šŸ™‚ )

Sodalite and Malachite Sterling Silver Gumleaf Earrings

sodalite, malachite and silver gum-leaf earrings

There’s a nod to the sky and the sea and the forest in these sodalite, malachite, and silver gum-leaf earrings I created last year for my client George.

As part of the design process, I sent George some pictures of combinations of different gemstones from my available gemstone collection. He chose sodalite and malachite as a lovely combo. We added the gum-leaves for a lovely subtle nature themed earring. George thought they looked great, and they went off to a new home overseas. I’m always so happy when my clients like the pieces I’ve made. It’s always exciting when they’re headed off to various corners of the globe. I have made some well travelled jewels!Sodalite and Malachite Sterling Silver Gumleaf Earrings

Eudialyte and Sterling Silver Pendant

eudialyte and silver pendant – handmade in brisbane

This eudialyte and silver pendant came about because Vera came to my workshop and browsed through my gemstone collection.Ā There were a lot of choices, but Vera finally narrowed it down and chose two eudialyte stones for me to create with – one for her, and one for her partner. Vera’s piece is theĀ eudialyte and silver cuffĀ you can see more of here.

Her partner’s piece is this eudialyte and silver pendant. It’s a whoppingly big cabochon, great for a larger person! Eudialyte is a lovely stone and you can read more about it here.

Vera was very happy with the end result, and so was I. I think these pieces make a beautiful matched pair. I wish Vera every happiness for the future!

Solid Silver Reticulated Pendant

Solid Silver Reticulated Pendant

I created this abstract sterling silver pendant for one of my dear besties for her birthday. Solid Silver Reticulated Pendant

I made the bottom of the pendant by heating the solid chunk of silver until it melted and became round and reticulated, and added a spiral of wire as the bail.

Sterling Silver Memory Hearts Pendant

Memory Hearts Pendant

I created this pendant with love for Judy, a dear neighbour from a long time ago. Her son recently passed away, and she wanted two hearts to wear close.

Mount Eliza Art and Design Show – 2017

I was pleased to be invited to participate inĀ the 2017 Mount Eliza Art and Design Show, and I mailed a large box of goodies down to Victoria, including pieces from my Spirals collection.

I also sent down a selection of earrings, including various pairs of my popularĀ bubble earrings.

I also sent some large bubble hoop earrings like these ones. These larger earrings are not yet available in my shop, but if you’d like a pair get in touch and I can let you know what colours I have still available.

It’s always a pleasure to have my work on show around the place, so a big thanks to the Mt Eliza Design and Arts Show team for all their efforts!

Red Moss Agate Pendant

My gorgeous client Rosie commissioned me to make her a pendant using a red moss agate gemstone I had in my stash.

Citrine and Aquamarine Ascot Pins

My lovely client Natasha asked me to create two ascot pins, one for a friend to wear at his wedding and the other for his partner to wear.

It was the first time I’d really encountered ascot pins I have to say, so there was a bit of a learning curve involved.

I’m pretty sure they were the best dressed guys at the wedding though!
