My client Mark contacted me and commissioned to make a silver fox pendant for a 50th present.
Mark emailed me some ideas. Between us we worked out the design he was picturing, which I then drew up. I spent some time with my jeweller’s saw and my soldering torch, and this is the silver fox pendant I made for him. So sweet!
I think it turned out pretty well, Aren’t foxes beautiful? You can read up on them here.
My client Sarah sent me some pictures and asked me to make her this double bar cross to commemorate the loss of Scott Hutchison, frontman of the band Frightened Rabbit.
I hope it brought some comfort to her. Made with love!
This handcrafted chrysocolla and silver bangle was a custom build for one of my lovely clients. Robbie wanted a unique and personal gift to give to his partner for her birthday. He visited my workshop and viewed the selection of gemstones I had available. The gorgeous pair of chrysocolla stones caught his eye, and they are the perfect shade for a redhead to wear.
As I usually do, I kept the design of this handcrafted chrysocolla and silver bangle simple. The gemstones are the key feature of the piece. I prefer to let them do the talking. Often, the simple things in life are the best!
Chrysocolla is a copper containing mineral, and is often found with turquoise and malachite. This gemstone comes in the most glorious shades from deep green to bright blue. I’ve made a few pieces with this gorgeous stone, including this pendant for my lovely mum. Meanwhile, I have a couple of pieces on the bench now waiting for me to turn them into custom pieces.
I have some other beautiful pairs of gemstones in different colours and shapes. If you’d like your own bangle, or even a pair of earrings, let me know. I’d be happy to create for you!
This eudialyte and silver pendant came about because Vera came to my workshop and browsed through my gemstone collection. There were a lot of choices, but Vera finally narrowed it down and chose two eudialyte stones for me to create with – one for her, and one for her partner. Vera’s piece is the eudialyte and silver cuff you can see more of here.
Her partner’s piece is this eudialyte and silver pendant. It’s a whoppingly big cabochon, great for a larger person! Eudialyte is a lovely stone and you can read more about it here.
Vera was very happy with the end result, and so was I. I think these pieces make a beautiful matched pair. I wish Vera every happiness for the future!
