Sterling Silver Fish Skeleton Ring

Sterling Silver Fish Skeleton Ring

I caught up with a dear friend of mine recently after many years. It was so lovely to see him! Isn’t is great how you can have a lifelong connection with some people, and share laughs and stories as if it were only yesterday that you had seen one another? We talked about what we’d been up to, of course, and he was interested in my silversmithing. A while later he commissioned me to make him a ring.

She chose the cabochon from my gemstone collection. Doesn’t the mookaite look great with a reticulated silver shank!

Variscite Trillion Cabochon

Variscite Trillion Cabochon

The beautiful variscite gemstone cabochon shown here is 20mm long, and is available to be handcrafted into a custom made ring or pendant for you.

This piece of variscite comes from Utah, USA. Variscite is a hydrated aluminium phosphate and the rare, bluish-green mineral can be found in aluminium-rich rocks. It is named after Variscia, the old name for Vogtland in Germany.

Variscite is believed to bring peace and harmony to your heart and to help with stress or anxiety. It is thought to be beneficial for anyone who is an invalid or who is caring for someone who has been sick for a long time, especially if they are feeling despair about their illness.
