Pink and White Drusy Agate and Sterling Silver Ring

pink and white agate ring – bespoke statement ring

My lovely client Emma chose this amazing drusy cabochon to be made into this pink and white agate ring. The stone gets the amazing colour through treatment. I usually prefer natural stones, but sometimes a treated stone is just too good to pass up!The ring is a huge one at nearly 5 cm long. It makes a great statement piece, but is comfortable enough for daily wear. The stone sits on top of the finger, but allows full movement of the finger below. I love to wear huge rings, and I take them off only if it gets very hot or if I’m doing something quite manual, like building another ring! You can read more about wearing my rings here.

Emma has a number of gorgeous Silver Forge pieces, including this pink and white agate ring. Check out her charoite ring; her shattuckite ring and her haematite ring. Fabulous!  It’s always lovely when she drops by to browse my gemstones and have a chat. Thanks for visiting, Emma!

Sodalite and Malachite Sterling Silver Gumleaf Earrings

sodalite, malachite and silver gum-leaf earrings

There’s a nod to the sky and the sea and the forest in these sodalite, malachite, and silver gum-leaf earrings I created last year for my client George.

Sodalite and Malachite Sterling Silver Gumleaf Earrings

As part of the design process, I sent George some pictures of combinations of different gemstones from my available gemstone collection. He chose sodalite and malachite as a lovely combo. We added the gum-leaves for a lovely subtle nature themed earring. George thought they looked great, and they went off to a new home overseas. I’m always so happy when my clients like the pieces I’ve made. It’s always exciting when they’re headed off to various corners of the globe. I have made some well travelled jewels!Sodalite and Malachite Sterling Silver Gumleaf Earrings

Rhodochrosite Teardrop Cabochon

The beautiful rhodochrosite cabochon shown here is 25mm long. It is available to be handcrafted into a custom made ring or pendant for you.

The pink color of rhodochrosite is caused by the element manganese, and it is formed when manganese is dissolved by ground water and combines with a carbonate material and then drips off the ceiling of caves and crevices deep underground. It can be found in Argentina; Peru; Colorado and Montana, USA; and Quebec, Canada. It is commonly found in the form of stalactites and stalagmites in the caves of Argentina. Rhodochrosite (the word means rose-colored) often forms pink and white bands.
