eudialyte and silver pendant – handmade in brisbane
This eudialyte and silver pendant came about because Vera came to my workshop and browsed through my gemstone collection. There were a lot of choices, but Vera finally narrowed it down and chose two eudialyte stones for me to create with – one for her, and one for her partner. Vera’s piece is the eudialyte and silver cuff you can see more of here.
Her partner’s piece is this eudialyte and silver pendant. It’s a whoppingly big cabochon, great for a larger person! Eudialyte is a lovely stone and you can read more about it here.
Vera was very happy with the end result, and so was I. I think these pieces make a beautiful matched pair. I wish Vera every happiness for the future!
Eudialyte Cuff Bangle
Vera came to my workshop and browsed through my gemstone collection, choosing two eudialyte stones for me to create with – one for her, and one for her partner.
This cuff is for Vera. She wanted some subtle detail if I thought it would suit the stone.
Vera was very happy with the end result, and so was I!

Eudialyte and Sterling Silver Pendant
I created this pendant for my dear friend Morgan some years ago. It was my first foray into creating schnörkels (my teachers have a German heritage, and at school that’s what are these things sometimes known as curlicues!) The gemstone is a piece of eudialyte from North Russia.
Looking back at it, I can see many imperfections. I think we’re all hypercritical of our own work, but this one in particular is very homemade to me. However, Morgan claims to love it still, and imperfections are all part of the learning curve, after all!!
I wonder if everyone looks back on their earlier work with a certain amount of cringeworthiness. Authors, actors, artists, musicians – we’re all putting ourselves out there in some way! Still, I created this with my own two hands (and some metal and stone 🙂 ), and that must be something to be proud of.
