There’s a nod to the sky and the sea and the forest in these sodalite, malachite, and silver gum-leaf earrings I created last year for my client George.
As part of the design process, I sent George some pictures of combinations of different gemstones from my available gemstone collection. He chose sodalite and malachite as a lovely combo. We added the gum-leaves for a lovely subtle nature themed earring. George thought they looked great, and they went off to a new home overseas. I’m always so happy when my clients like the pieces I’ve made. It’s always exciting when they’re headed off to various corners of the globe. I have made some well travelled jewels!
This eudialyte and silver pendant came about because Vera came to my workshop and browsed through my gemstone collection. There were a lot of choices, but Vera finally narrowed it down and chose two eudialyte stones for me to create with – one for her, and one for her partner. Vera’s piece is the eudialyte and silver cuff you can see more of here.
Her partner’s piece is this eudialyte and silver pendant. It’s a whoppingly big cabochon, great for a larger person! Eudialyte is a lovely stone and you can read more about it here.
Vera was very happy with the end result, and so was I. I think these pieces make a beautiful matched pair. I wish Vera every happiness for the future!
I created this abstract sterling silver pendant for one of my dear besties for her birthday.
I made the bottom of the pendant by heating the solid chunk of silver until it melted and became round and reticulated, and added a spiral of wire as the bail.
I created this pendant with love for Judy, a dear neighbour from a long time ago. Her son recently passed away, and she wanted two hearts to wear close.
We meet a lot of people in this life, and it’s good to take care of the decent folk. xx

This cuff is for Vera. She wanted some subtle detail if I thought it would suit the stone.
Vera was very happy with the end result, and so was I!
