Shipping

Silver Forge pieces can be shipped to anywhere in the world. Shipping on smaller items from The Silver Forge shop is free, because it’s nice when you get that! Larger items will be shipped at cost or below. Most items listed here on my website are already created and will be mailed out to you by Australia Post standard mail the next business day after your order is placed. If you would like your item to be sent via Australia Post Express Post, please contact me and I will provide you with pricing. If you would like the extra peace of mind of postal insurance in case the postal service breaks or loses your package, please contact me and I will provide you with pricing.

Please note that all taxes and customs duties on orders outside Australia are the responsibility of the customer, and responsibility for any customs issues or refusals also lies with the buyer. Delivery times are dependent on mail services and are outside of my control. Custom order shipment times will vary depending on the size and complexity of your piece – I will give you an estimate of delivery time at the time of your quote.

Packaging

I package all pieces to protect them in transit; also, where possible, to keep postage costs to a minimum for you. Where practical, I like to use recycled and/or recyclable materials to package your pieces.

Refunds and Exchanges

If you are unhappy with your purchase in any way, please contact me to see if we can fix the problem. With the exception of custom orders, you may return new items that have not been worn within thirty days of delivery for a full refund. I’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of my error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

Quality Assurance

All the silver I use is quality 925 sterling silver, sourced from and refined by an eco-friendly supplier. I love gems, but I am by no means an expert, so all gemstones in my pieces are represented as per the information given to me by the various suppliers I use. I will pass on any information I have about them, but take no responsibility for the actual quality/authenticity of each stone.

Custom Ring Sizing

It is your responsibility to provide me with a ring size correctly measured by a professional jeweller before I start creating your ring. I will create the ring according to the size you give me. If the ring has a gemstone in it, I will be unable to resize it for you after it is made. If the ring is make from silver only, it is possible that I can resize it – I can provide you with a quote for this work. I do not undertake general resizing work.

Setting Your Stone

I am happy to review a gemstone that you would like to have set  – if I am able to help you by working with your stone, I will take all care with and no responsibility for the stone. There is always the risk that the stone will become damaged in the setting process, and by giving me your stone to work with you accept this risk. I do not undertake remodelling work.

Repairs

I am happy to repair for free any piece that I have made that has been treated with care but has broken due to a construction flaw. If the piece has become damaged by other means, I can provide you with a quote for the repair work. I do not undertake general repairs of jewellery.
