I was excited to be invited to the 39th Annual Derinya Art and Craft Exhibition, and I’ve just sent off a parcel of all of these pieces to be displayed (and made available for sale).
The exhibition is on from 18th to 20th July in Frankston South, Victoria. Here’s hoping it goes well. If you’re in the area, do call in and let me know what it’s like!
The lovely Charmaine, for whom I have previously created this ring, this ring, this ring and this ring for, asked me to make her friend a ring from this fabulous round peacock blue drusy agate cabochon.
Unfortunately, we managed to get Charmaine’s friend’s ring size a little confused –
so Charmaine is keeping this one for herself, and I’ll create another for her friend. As always it is such a pleasure to create for her! Thanks, Charmaine!
Via email, Maggie and I went through some choices from my gemstone collection, and I sent her pictures of a couple of stones that I hadn’t listed yet.
She chose this pale pink drusy agate, which is just divine!

A lovely customer wondered if I could resize this raw ruby ring to fit. I couldn’t, but I offered to create her another similar ring.

I was asked to make this custom piece to suit someone with a dark vampish nature. My customer gave me the general picture of how he wanted the piece to look, and I added some finishing touches!
He very sensibly sent me a photocopy of the hand that it will be adorning, with measurements added. Perfect!

My best friend Morgan’s sister has a birthday today (happy birthday, Dyl!) and Morgan wanted me to create the perfect piece for her. We had lots of ideas, and in the end this square domed ring was the fav.
I think Dylan may have suggested the domed square – at first I didn’t think it could be done. After I gave it more thought, I realised of course it could!
I love this ring, I think it’s really effective and stunning. It may inspire a new collection!
The lovely Jelaine from Little Alligator asked if I would be able to create a replacement wedding ring for her husband.
His first one is apparently in their garden somewhere – maybe cemented into their paving!
